Captain Name was the most Adjective pirate on the seven seas, except for one tiny problem: water made them feel Emotion. While the crew shouted, “Raise the Noun!” Captain Name stood on a stack of Plural noun wearing a lucky Article of clothing. “I will sail,” the captain announced Adverb, “but only if the ocean promises not to splash.” Just then, a(n) Animal popped up beside the ship with a friendly Sound. The captain nearly Verb -ed into a barrel of Food. To help, the crew built a giant raft from Material and served Beverage in tiny cups. Captain Name took one brave step, then began Verb -ing across the deck. By sunset, the pirate was still afraid of waves, but had become the world’s greatest captain of puddles, bathtubs, and very small Place.
